How much coffee grounds do you personally use to make a pot of coffee?

    By admin | November 26, 2009

The side of mainstream cans of coffee (e.g. Maxwell House, Folgers, etc) suggest to use 1/2 cup of coffee grounds to make a 10-cup pot of coffee.

Do you follow this suggested strength recommendation? How much coffee do you personally use?

I have a burr grinder that grinds into a small measuring cup. If I were making 10 cups of coffee, I would fill the cup up to the 12 cup line. That gives the coffee a slight kick, but doesn’t make it to over-powering. I highly recommend a burr grinder, and buy your beans whole. It makes for better coffee.
